Whatever I made a ISO folder in the root directory and put a ISO in it and it plays fine. there is no VSH.TXT, GAME.TXT, POPS.TXT files that I can find and am I supposed to put a space 1 after the 660_plugins_on_661.prx file? Looked at zfreeman post and tring to follow the link.Ĭopied the plugins in the. I can always change it later if the other one is better. One was PRO CFW by Coldbird and the other ME CFW by near0n. Went to the memory card and picked Infinity Bootloader Configuration, in it moved to the left and there were 2 things. Launched 6.61 PROMOD-C2p VCFW again it then reset make sure you don't have a game inserted and I didn't get a error cuz of this. It reboot but then ran the game for some reason in the psp it. Went to the maker folder (:\PSP\GAME\MAKER)Ĭopyed DATA.MFC to FLASHER folder (L:\PSP\GAME\FLASHER)īooted up psp again in memory card and Ran Infinity Firmware Flasher (didn't take that long) I got scared cuz it was at 40% for a long time. Run Infinity Firmware Builder (this took a hour a 2. I figered it would just put the files in the right spot cuz the folders are the same name and I was correct double-checked and they were in the right spot.īooted up my psp then went to memory card and booted up 6.61 PROMOD-C2p VCFW (I guessed cuz the end of it was CFW) there 2 others with the same picture

#HOW TO USE PRO PSP FIRMWARE 6.60 PATCH#
While I am currently having some fun with a PSPgo and a DualShock3 controller (yes, you can pair those 2 devices), I am going to test the various builds of LME CFW and PRO CFW (for the various OFWs), and will report which ones are broken and require fixing.īeing able to use the convenience of the 6.20 permanent patch and using the PSN services is something that should not be a choice on the PSP, at least not in 2015.This is what I did.
#HOW TO USE PRO PSP FIRMWARE 6.60 HOW TO#
Older CFWs showed us how to do it, and I think it should be possible to update the 6.20, 6.3x and 6.60 builds of the ME, LME and PRO CFW to properly mask themselves as firmware 6.61, which, in the end, will grant them, once again, full access to the PSN services. Since a lot of Themes and Plugins are not and (most likely) won’t be updated for firmware 6.61, staying on a lower base firmware seems to be a much more convenient choice. PSN access is still possible via 6.61 OFW (Sony’s official firmware), 6.61 ME-2.3, 6.61 LME-2.3 and 6.61 PRO-C2 (CFW’s most recent build by qwikrazor87). The convenience of using the PSN services, regardless of installed base firmware, seems to be gone (for now), but the released Custom Firmwares for the base firmware 6.61 are still kicking it! It is true that Custom Firmwares for the older base firmwares 6.20, 6.3x and 6.60 are currently not able to connect to the PSN services (Error code: ‘80435061’), but Sony did not completely exclude CFW users from using the PSN services. But is this new firmware responsible for CFWs being unable to connect to the PSN services?! Well…
